Job summary

Foundation-Partners-Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate modern data platforms at scale across Azure, Fabric, Azure SQL, and AWS. You will architect reliable pipelines and self-service analytics to drive business decisions.

This hands-on role emphasizes containerized workloads with Azure Container Apps Jobs, governed data delivery, and collaboration with analytics and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for production-grade data pipelines and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, and cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with MS Fabric including Warehouses, Lakehouses, and OneLake.
• Extensive experience containerizing workloads with Docker and deploying as Container Apps Jobs.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift) and cloud data architectures.
• Knowledge of data modeling (dimensional), star/snowflake schemas, OLTP/OLAP.
• Version control with Git/GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving and clear communication.
• Self-directed with attention to detail; end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines using Python and cloud-native tools.
• Architect data solutions across Fabric Warehouses, Azure SQL, and AWS.
• Implement Bronze-Silver-Gold data delivery with governance.
• Manage large-scale data warehouses focusing on performance and cost.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines from APIs, files, and SaaS data sources.
• Deploy containerized pipeline jobs via Azure Container Apps Jobs with scheduling.
• Move data between on-prem SQL Server and cloud targets.
• Design fault-tolerant patterns with logging, alerts, retries.
• Collaborate with analytics/BI teams to deliver clean models.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to standards.
