Recare Deutschland GmbH, a leading German HealthTech company, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform that moves data into Snowflake and to shape the architecture, tooling and pipelines. Qualifications

• Several years (typically 5+) building production data pipelines in data-intensive systems.
• Strong Python: write tested, maintainable production code, not just scripts.
• Advanced SQL including window functions, CTEs and optimisation.
• Production experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud warehouse.
• Experience with dbt or similar tool for transformations.
• Solid ingestion fundamentals: initial vs incremental loads, CDC, idempotency, schema evolution, backfills.
• Production experience with Airflow or Dagster.
• Experience with AWS and deploying containers.
• Data quality mindset: profile data, test assumptions and build checks.
• GDPR knowledge: identify personal data and implement pseudonymisation, access control and deletion.
• Ability to own decisions and explain trade-offs to non-engineers.
• Clear, concise documentation and asynchronous communication.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Data from applications, events and SaaS tools must reach Snowflake reliably; you build and run ingestion.
• Set up orchestration with dependencies, retries, alerting and SLAs to prevent wrong numbers downstream.
• Design event pipelines for new products with engineers, keeping patient data out of analytics events.
• Maintain dbt models connecting usage with customer, billing and revenue data.
• Build data flows between HubSpot and internal systems, including two-way synchronisation where needed.
• Establish validation, monitoring and alerting to catch data quality problems before dashboards.
• Enforce data privacy and access controls in Snowflake; pseudonymisation and deletion propagated across data.
• Apply engineering standards to data code: code review, testing, documentation, CI/CD.
