Job summary

Recare Deutschland GmbH is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the data platform moving data into Snowflake with robust ingestion, orchestration and quality checks. You will shape pipelines across analytics and product data, build event pipelines and maintain modeling that links usage to revenue.

You will work in a remote-friendly environment with flexible hours, engage in privacy-focused data practices, and collaborate with product, RevOps and Finance to ensure consistent metrics and trusted

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating production data pipelines in data-intensive environments.
• Strong Python and production-grade coding practices.
• Advanced SQL using window functions and CTEs.
• Experience with Snowflake and cost management.
• Familiarity with dbt and data transformation tooling.
• Proven ingestion fundamentals, CDC, idempotency and backfills.
• Orchestrators like Airflow or Dagster in production.
• AWS experience and container deployment understanding.
• Data quality mindset with validation and monitoring.
• GDPR familiarity and pseudonymisation capabilities.
• English fluency; German is a plus.
• Healthcare/regulated domain exposure; integrating CRMs (HubSpot/Salesforce).
• Event tracking design (Snowplow/Segment) and privacy-aware data models.
• Kubernetes in production and Snowflake-as-code discipline.
• Ability to explain trade-offs to non-engineers; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform moves data into Snowflake with reliable ingestion.
• Design pipelines, ensure clear dependencies, retries, and SLAs.
• Define orchestration to prevent partial or incorrect downstream data.
• Build event pipelines for new products; align with product and finance definitions.
• Maintain dbt models linking product usage to revenue data.
• Integrate CRM and SaaS systems; enable two-way sync where needed.
• Establish data quality checks, monitoring and alerting.
• Enforce RBAC, masking, pseudonymisation and deletion across data stores.
• Treat data code with same engineering rigor as product code; ensure CI/CD and docs.
