Job summary

Prolaio is building a data ecosystem for precision cardiology in a regulated environment. The Senior Data Engineer will design, implement, and operate batch, streaming, and hybrid pipelines, collaborating with data science and clinical teams.

You will drive platform standards and governance with the data arch"itecture team. You will own CI/CD for the data platform (GitLab CI), craft robust tests, and advance data quality, lineage, and ML enablement while mentoring colleagues and controlling

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering.
• Expert Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure).
• Production experience with dbt, including modeling and testing.
• Experience with BigQuery or comparable cloud data warehouse (Databricks, Redshift).
• Experience with Dagster or a comparable orchestrator (Airflow, Prefect).
• Experience with Docker and large-scale data processing.
• Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, including time-series data.
• Understanding of MLOps concepts and production ML workflows.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists, product, and clinical or quality stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run data pipelines in a regulated environment.
• Work closely with data science/clinical teams and the Data Architect on standards and governance.
• Own CI/CD for the data platform using GitLab CI, including dbt and Dagster deployments.
• Monitor pipeline health and BigQuery cost with Datadog and participate in incident response.
• Mentor other engineers and help set engineering standards for the data team.
• Enable data science by providing tools and processes for experimentation and iteration.
