Job summary

eHealth is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design scalable data pipelines, architect data solutions, and drive analytics and ML initiatives across the business. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, mentoring other engineers to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and actionable in a fast-paced, regulated health-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject-matter expert on our data ecosystem, guiding architectural decisions across teams.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and real-time streaming architectures using modern frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka, dbt).
• Design and drive adoption of workflow automation using Apache Airflow or Matillion.
• Lead technical design for production-grade ML pipelines in partnership with data scientists and ML engineers.
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers through code review and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate emerging data tools and technologies and advise build-vs-buy decisions.
