Job summary

HealthLeap is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build core pipelines moving clinical data from hospital systems into model inputs, analytics, and APIs. You’ll ensure data is usable, traceable, and reliable, handling late data, backfills, and schema changes.

You’ll collaborate with ML, product, and integration teams to deliver data at hospital scale, with 40+ live sites and rapid growth. SF-based, hybrid-friendly, equity-driven compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production data systems with Python and SQL.
• Experience owning pipelines that depend on messy, changing external data.
• Strong data modeling, monitoring, and recovery judgment.
• Ability to trace a problem across systems and own fixes in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate pipelines from ingestion through transformation and delivery.
• Produce trusted data for ML pipelines, customer analytics, and user-facing APIs.
• Define data contracts and checks that catch missing records, schema changes, and incorrect values.
• Handle backfills, late data, failures, and recovery.
• Work with integration, ML, and product engineers to get data reliably where it needs to go.
