Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Finance Technology) to join our Enterprise Finance Technology team. You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines across enterprise financial applications, enabling trusted analysis for consolidation, planning, and reporting.

The role combines data engineering excellence with business intelligence capabilities to deliver data-driven solutions and scalable analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field; 4+ years data engineering/analytics experience.
Advanced SQL proficiency with data integration tools (dbt, Informatica).
Strong data modeling, schemas, and Snowflake storage knowledge.
Experience with cloud data pipelines (AWS, Snowflake) and ETL/ELT patterns.
Experience with Power BI/Tableau BI platforms and data quality tooling.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
Ensure data integrity with automated quality checks and validation frameworks.
Plan, manage, and deliver small to medium data projects end-to-end.
Support dashboard and reporting development to deliver KPI insights.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and validation workflows.
Collaborate with Finance and Analytics teams to understand needs and reduce technical debt.
Stay current on new data technologies and contribute to design standards.
