Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Finance Technology to design, build, and optimize data architectures and pipelines powering enterprise decision-making.

The role blends data engineering with business intelligence to enable trusted analytics across Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and tech groups. The Senior Engineer mentors junior staff, contributes to Agile planning, and stays current on emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; 4+ years in data engineering or architecture.
• 4+ years in data engineering, BI, and/or enterprise analytics across reporting, dashboards, data pipelines, and modeling.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with data integration tools (e.g., MS SQL Developer, dbt, Informatica).
• Strong data modeling, data access, schemas, and storage techniques within Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud data environments (AWS, Snowflake) and ETL/ELT patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Implement automated quality checks, regression testing, validation frameworks, and anomaly monitoring.
• Plan, manage, and deliver small to mid-size projects end-to-end.
• Support dashboarding and KPI insights using Power BI/Tableau.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, data validation, and analysis workflows.
• Stay current on data technologies and contribute to design standards.
