Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Finance Technology) to design, build, and optimize data architecture and pipelines that power financial consolidation, planning, forecasting, and reporting.

The Senior Engineer will mentor junior team members and collaborate with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and cross-functional technology groups to deliver data-driven solutions and scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in data engineering.
• 4+ years in data engineering, BI, and analytics across multiple areas.
• Advanced SQL and data integration tools (dbt, Informatica).
• Strong Snowflake data modeling and warehousing experience.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Snowflake) with ETL/ELT patterns.
• Relational DB skills (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and BI tools.
• Experience with AI tools and presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
• On-call rotations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Plan, manage, and deliver projects end-to-end with cross-functional teams.
• Develop dashboards and KPI insights using Power BI/Tableau.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and validation.
