Job summary

Hitachi Federal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise data solutions for federal customers. You will guide projects from architecture through implementation, mentor engineers, and help shape new service offerings.

This client-facing role requires strong software engineering and consulting skills to translate requirements into scalable data pipelines and integrations.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise software, data engineering, or professional services experience.
• Experience leading technical implementation projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex professional services engagements from design through implementation.
• Design enterprise-scale data engineering solutions meeting customer business and technical requirements.
• Lead customer architecture workshops, technical planning sessions, and solution reviews.
• Translate customer business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop repeatable implementation methodologies.
