Job summary

Hitachi Federal is seeking a Federal Data Engineer to serve as the technical lead for designing and implementing enterprise data engineering solutions on federal engagements. The role collaborates with project managers, solution architects, and customer teams to deliver scalable data pipelines and integrations from design through deployment.

The position requires strong software engineering, consulting skills, and experience leading complex professional services engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise software engineering or data engineering experience
• Proven experience leading technical implementation projects within enterprise environments
• Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex professional services engagements from design through implementation.
• Design enterprise-scale data engineering solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Lead customer architecture workshops and solution reviews.
• Translate customer business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive delivery quality and operational excellence
• Develop architecture documentation, implementation guides, and technical deliverables
