Job summary

ASM Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Modeler to design and deploy scalable data pipelines and robust data models for BI, analytics, and GenAI use cases. This fully remote role involves working with Fortune 500 clients in small, high-ownership pods that blend consulting rigor with hands-on engineering.

You will build batch/streaming pipelines in cloud environments, create star/snowflake schemas, and mentor junior engineers while shaping governance and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7–10 years in data engineering with 4+ years modeling (relational and dimensional).
• Healthcare domain experience required.
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable batch/streaming pipelines for cloud delivery.
• Design dimensional, relational data models for BI and AI use.
• Translate requirements into star/snowflake schemas and ER diagrams.
• Build data warehouses/lakehouses on Azure, AWS, GCP, or Snowflake.
• Implement data quality, validation, and reconciliation frameworks.
• Enforce data modeling standards and documentation.
• Tune pipelines and queries for large-scale datasets.
• Prepare data for ML/GenAI with data science teams.
• Work across full SDLC with CI/CD and code reviews.
• Present and defend designs to stakeholders; mentor junior engineers.
