Job summary

K-Recruiting GmbH seeks a Senior Data Engineer & BI Consultant to advance data pipelines, models, and dashboards. You will productionize PoCs, optimize Power BI reporting, and drive data governance and QA across analytics services.

Responsibilities include building scalable data models, implementing MLflow lifecycle management, and delivering secure, well-documented data solutions with clear stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or BI consulting.
• Strong expertise in Python-based data engineering and modern data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience designing scalable data models and optimizing reporting architectures.
• Practical knowledge of MLflow, workflow orchestration, and production deployment of data solutions.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data governance, and data quality assurance.
• Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and collaborative DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and extend data pipelines by integrating new data sources.
• Design, develop, and optimize curated data models for analytics and reporting.
• Industrialize PoCs by turning Python prototypes into production pipelines.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards for business stakeholders.
• Configure and manage MLflow for model tracking and lifecycle management.
• Design, orchestrate, and monitor robust data pipelines and workflows.
• Build data preparation layers for high-performance Power BI reporting.
• Improve query performance and optimize reporting data models.
• Implement automated testing and QA to detect data drift.
• Establish metadata governance, data catalogs, and classification standards.
• Manage deployment, release, and operational support of data solutions.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and queries.
• Configure and validate Row-Level Security (RLS) for secure data access.
• Translate analyses into intuitive dashboards and business visuals.
• Support knowledge transfer to enable internal maintenance.
