Job summary

TeamBuilder is seeking a Senior Data Architect/Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data platform. This hands-on role builds scalable data pipelines and robust data models, ensuring trusted data for BI and AI initiatives.

You will partner with software, product, analytics, and business teams to deliver high‑quality data architectures, optimise workloads, and govern data across the organization. Remote role, EST hours, US-based.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Data Engineering, Architecture, or related roles.
• Expert SQL skills with large datasets and query optimization.
• Experience building cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses.
• Strong data modelling, governance, lineage, and reconciliation knowledge.
• Clear written and verbal communication; independent work and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of enterprise data architecture and platforms.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Design data models and governance standards for quality and trust.
• Modernize data platforms using Azure cloud services (data lake, lakehouse, warehouse).
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering to deliver reliable data for BI and AI.
• Develop monitoring, data quality controls, and automation to reduce toil.
