Wpromote is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Data Architecture) to design, build, and evolve our data infrastructure powering Polaris, our proprietary technology platform. You will work with Product, Data Engineering, and client teams to create reliable, scalable data capabilities that evolve from client-specific solutions to shared offerings.

The role focuses 50–75% on platform data products and architecture, with remaining time on client pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data architecture, or related field.
• Proven track record designing and delivering production data pipelines and data models.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and BigQuery, with strong relational/analytical DB concepts.
• Intermediate to advanced Python programming skills.
• Strong experience with dbt, including data modeling, testing, documentation, and reusable patterns.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data transformation, and data quality.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, AWS Glue, or Azure Data Factory; knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines and shared data products using BigQuery, dbt, Python, and orchestration frameworks.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and client teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.
• Identify recurring patterns across client implementations and convert them into reusable models and shared capabilities.
• Develop reusable dbt models, macros, Python utilities, ingestion patterns, and configuration-driven solutions.
• Strengthen data quality and reliability via automated testing, validation, monitoring and observability.
• Improve pipelines and architecture for scalability, maintainability, performance, and cost.
• Integrate and normalize data from APIs and third-party platforms across MarTech/AdTech ecosystems.
• Manage production data pipelines across client portfolio; troubleshoot and prevent recurrence of issues.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards; mentor other engineers.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate tasks while ensuring production code quality.
