Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and cloud-based analytics solutions. You will lead scalable data ecosystems, ensure data quality and security, and mentor junior engineers.

Collaboration across architects, analysts, and stakeholders is essential for mission‑critical data delivery. The role focuses on Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud services (AWS/Azure), with CI/CD and DevOps emphasis.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required and able to obtain/maintain public trust.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years in data/analytics engineering or related role.
• Experience with Python, SQL and Spark or PySpark.
• Production-grade data pipelines and ETL/ELT development.
• Relational and NoSQL databases with data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for analytics and operations.
• Build and optimize data architectures, models, and storage across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Develop data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and related tech.
• Implement cloud-native data platforms on AWS/Azure and other modern tools.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Lead data integration, migration, and modernization efforts including legacy systems.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and monitoring in designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technology evaluations.
• Create and maintain technical docs for data flows and deployments.
• Role contingent upon contract award.
