Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and pipelines in cloud ecosystems. You will lead engineering efforts, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and deliver mission-critical data solutions with strong software fundamentals.

The role involves building scalable data architectures, implementing CI/CD, and guiding data modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/engineering/math/data science or related field.
• 3+ years in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with Python, SQL and Spark/PySpark.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting production-grade data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control practices (Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for analytics and operations.
• Build and optimize data architectures, models, and storage in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Develop data engineering solutions using Python, SQL, Spark, and related technologies.
• Implement cloud-native data platforms leveraging AWS, Azure, Databricks, and more.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Mentor junior data engineers and share knowledge across teams.
• Document data flows, system designs, deployment procedures, and operations.
