Credit Genie is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the design and operation of scalable data pipelines across Snowflake and AWS. You will solve cross-functional data problems, ensure data reliability, and enable analytics and downstream applications.

You will design ETL/ELT patterns, implement robust data quality and observability, and collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams. The role emphasizes scalable, cost-conscious engineering practices in a mobile-first financial

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering or closely related experience designing, building, and operating production data systems.
• Advanced SQL skills and Python for data processing and automation.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, orchestration, data modeling, and data quality controls.
• Strong understanding of batch and real-time data architectures and CDC technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate reliable data pipelines across batch, streaming, and CDC patterns.
• Lead ETL/ELT design and orchestration workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop SQL and Python solutions for data transformation and validation.
• Strengthen data quality, monitoring, and observability across pipelines.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads and pipeline architecture for reliability and scale.
• Investigate production data incidents and implement durable fixes.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, Product, and Engineering to deliver data products.
• Contribute to engineering standards, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
