Job summary

Plug is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build the governed data layer at the center of its AI-native strategy. The role uses Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.

You will own the dbt transformation models and certified metric definitions that the business runs on, plus the ingestion pipelines bringing in OEM, dealer, and HubSpot data. You will work with the dbt Semantic Layer as an interface for AI agents to query data with business context, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production dbt projects end-to-end with staging, mid, and mart layers

Responsibilities

• Own the dbt transformation layer and Semantic Layer definitions to make data queryable by humans and AI agents
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines (Fivetran, HubSpot, OEM feeds) with monitoring and change control
• Collaborate on data architecture, QA, and production incident response across the stack
• Ensure data quality and governance for Rain Radar and future models
