Job summary

DraftKings in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data infrastructure and transform complex transactional and financial data into trusted, reporting-ready datasets that support regulatory reporting, financial operations, and business insights.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, compliance, analytics, and cross-functional teams, leveraging Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud tools, while mentoring teammates to elevate data quality, governance, and platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and distributed data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with hands-on experience in real-time and batch data processing.
• Experience building modern cloud-based data platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools (Terraform, PagerDuty, Datadog).
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL frameworks, and scalable data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, high-performance data infrastructure for regulatory reporting, financial operations, and business insights.
• Develop reliable data solutions prioritizing accuracy, completeness, traceability, and auditability while supporting governance.
• Leverage AI to improve engineering productivity and data quality across pipelines and products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Analytics, and stakeholders to translate requirements into analytic data models.
• Design and maintain modern data models with data quality, governance, observability, and platform reliability.
