Job summary

Travelers Data Engineering team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to accelerate analytics growth and enterprise-wide data access. You will guide team members, design, build, and deploy data solutions supporting AI, ML, and BI initiatives.

You will lead complex data pipelines, ensure data quality, governance, and security, and collaborate with business partners to translate data into actionable insights. Strong leadership and cloud proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of related data engineering experience.
• Data pipeline, processing and warehousing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions and implement data quality improvements.
• Design data solutions, incorporate new data sources, ensure consistency across projects.
• Analyze complex sources to determine value for analytics, propose data inclusion.
• Apply data governance, security and quality practices.
• Serve as data/tech SME to support delivery and educate end users.
• Perform diagnostics and resolution for defects in complex environments.
• Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate users on data products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
