Job summary

Age of Learning is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape the data platform architecture and long-term direction. You will build and maintain scalable data systems powering decision-making, partnering with analysts, product managers, and engineers.

You will mentor teammates, drive data quality, and uphold best practices to elevate the data organization. You will design a Snowflake-based warehouse, implement dbt pipelines, and collaborate to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong SQL, Python, and data modeling skills; design-centric.
• Hands-on with dbt and Snowflake.
• Experience with clickstream / event data.
• Ability to design and ship scalable data systems.
• Comfort using AI tools in daily workflow.
• Excellent written communication and ability to explain tradeoffs.
• Strong project ownership and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a scalable data warehouse on Snowflake with clear models and documentation.
• Implement and manage data transformation with dbt to ensure reliable pipelines.
• Develop data models, semantic layers, and metrics across the organization.
• Own data quality, observability, and testing for downstream reliability.
• Build internal AI tooling to boost data engineering effectiveness.
• Collaborate with analysts, product engineers, and stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Mentor teammates and foster a culture of learning and rigor.
• Identify operational issues and propose improvements.
