Job summary

Thor is seeking a senior/lead/director level professional to drive design leadership for large data centre projects. The role is remote within the United States with up to 50% travel, primarily on the US East Coast.

You will own and coordinate electrical, mechanical or architectural design across multi‑discipline teams, guiding projects from early design through construction. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data centre design and a proven ability to own outcomes in a fast, owner/developer

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data centre design, engineering or technical delivery.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical or architectural design in mission‑critical environments.
• Experience with large‑scale or hyperscale data centres is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead multi‑discipline design coordination and collaborate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the US East Coast and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across data centre design and development projects.
• Lead and coordinate electrical, mechanical or architectural disciplines.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications to meet requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with MEPS, architectural and engineering consultants.
• Guide design development from concept through construction and delivery.
• Support design standards, specs and technical requirements.
• Travel to project sites and stakeholder meetings as needed.
