Job summary

Thor is seeking a Remote Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead building and campus level designs for a global data center owner and operator. The role is remote with travel as required and offers a base compensation of $200,000–$240,000 plus a 25% bonus, with potential long-term equity.

The candidate will own designs, coordinate with design partners, manage timelines, and oversee construction administration and feasibility studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of data center design experience.
• Drafting and BIM capabilities in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Familiarity with other engineering functions (Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Structural).
• Hand on experience with drafting and spatial analysis software.

• Own and lead multiple building and campus level designs.
• Be the point of contact for design partners.
• Manage design timelines and schedule.
• Construction Administration.
• Project Feasibility and Diligence.
• Partner Team Building - build relationships with Architectural and Engineering design consultants.
