Job summary

Ericsson Inc. is seeking an Associate Data Center Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance in data center environments.

This entry-level role focuses on hands-on hardware tasks, inventory, cabling, and documentation, with opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues. You will stage equipment, assist with rack placement, patch copper/fiber, label components, and capture records—all while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, telecommunications equipment, networking, or data center infrastructure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and stage equipment, consumables, and cabling.
• Perform basic inventory checks against packing lists and update inventory systems.
• Assist with rack positioning, leveling, and physical prep under supervision.
• Install rack accessories like cable managers and PDUs.
• Support rack-and-stack activities by lifting, aligning, and securing equipment.
• Perform basic copper and fiber patching per port maps and installation guides.
• Route and dress cabling per standards.
• Capture serial numbers, rack locations, photos, and installation records.
• Execute MACD moves under guidance of seniors.
• Carry out routine inspections and escalate issues as needed.
• Follow MOPs, safety, and quality standards.
