Job summary

Ericsson Inc. in New Albany, Ohio seeks a Data Center Services Technician to install, operate, and maintain data center infrastructure. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, provisioning, testing, and documentation while ensuring safety and adherence to Ericsson standards.

Travel up to 50% is required, with a focus on independent execution. The role targets candidates with 3+ years in data center ops, structured cabling, or IT infra, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of data center ops or related IT infra experience.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking, power, cabling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation docs, and MOPs.
• Ability to perform rack-and-stack, cabling, testing with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, verify power connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware component install, and OOB management connections.
• Execute testing and validation, MACD activities, and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Identify and elevate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to seniors.
