Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert to lead structural engineering for a portfolio of data center projects. You will guide technical direction, ensure performance and constructability, and mentor teams while coordinating with clients and management.

You will drive design decisions, oversee analyses, and contribute to design-build delivery excellence across multiple sites, offices, and project phases in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA, RamSS, STAAD).
• Understanding of relevant codes and Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams.
• Willingness to travel ~10–40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering efforts for data center projects (new builds and retrofits).
• Define technical direction and ensure performance and constructability.
• Mentor junior and senior staff and engage with clients and management.
• Provide quality reviews and governance for schedules and design docs.
• Coordinate across design-build delivery and interdisciplinary teams.
