Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects. You will guide technical direction, mentor leads, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-performance, constructible designs.

This role blends engineering rigor with leadership and communication across diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in structural engineering, a PE license, and proficiency with CAD/analysis tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify complex challenges, solve problems, communicate solutions and direct junior and senior staff on best practices
• Understand the complexities of large contracts and different contract structures and manage change orders while supporting the engineering team
• Experience with various building materials and capability to speak to executives about technical subjects
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience
• Registered Professional Engineer with eligibility to become licensed in additional states
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, RamSS or STAAD
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and related design codes and standards
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination
• Ability to travel to client sites (10%–40%)
• Proficiency reviewing drawings in Bluebeam

Responsibilities
