Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Structural Engineer to join its design team in Austin, TX or Seattle, WA. You will design resilient data center facilities and ensure uptime while balancing security, efficiency, and cost.

As a subject matter expert, you will review milestone drawings, provide guidance, and tackle large-scale implementation challenges for prototypical DC facilities across the Americas and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License.
• 7+ years experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects.
• 5+ years of experience with design of Data Center, Mission Critical, Hospital, Schools, Commercial or Residential Tower facilities.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE.

Responsibilities

• Design DC facilities with focus on uptime, security, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and review milestone drawings by consultants.
• Solve large-scale implementation issues for prototypical DC facilities.
