Job summary

CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking a Senior Site Due Diligence Design Engineer to evaluate prospective data center sites and bridge site selection with early design. You will assess electrical, mechanical, and civil aspects to shape viability, schedule, and cost.

In this role you will work with landlords, utilities, and external partners, producing technical assessments and early go/no-go guidance, and ensuring a smooth handover to the Design Manager after lease or acquisition.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data center engineering, site selection, due diligence or early-phase design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Broad technical competency across electrical, mechanical, civil/structural and architectural fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of utility infrastructure and their impact on site feasibility.
• Experience reviewing capacity offers, conceptual site plans and building documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial technical evaluator for prospective data center sites across electrical, mechanical, architectural, civil, and IT/LV considerations.
• Identify technical risks, constraints, opportunities, and required upgrades for site evaluation.
• Lead design team coordination from initial concept through lease execution/acquisition.
• Review provider proposals, capacity offers, utility information, and drawings for alignment with CoreWeave design principles.
• Interface with landlords, utilities, developers, and data center providers during due diligence.
• Prepare concise technical assessments and go/no-go recommendations; track progress with dashboards.
• Evaluate land use, zoning, permitting, and entitlement feasibility at a high level.
• Deliver technical due diligence summaries communicating feasibility, upgrades, and regulatory considerations.
