Job summary

Turner & Townsend seeks a Senior Scheduler for data center due diligence and preconstruction. You will review developer schedules from ground up, validate logic, critical path, and float credibility, and assess long-lead equipment and utility sequencing.

You will drive evidence-based conclusions and handoff clean records to onsite teams. You will manage risks, track schedule movement, and champion a defensible review standard while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10 plus years of planning and scheduling experience in data center or mission-critical facilities.
• Preferably located in/near San Francisco, CA or Northern VA but remote candidates considered with travel for site visits.
• Working fluency in P6 or equivalent scheduling software with logic, critical path, and float credibility.
• Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) or similar progress-measurement methods.
• Knowledge of long lead equipment timelines, utility and energization sequencing, permitting, and commissioning durations.
• Understanding of acceleration levers in data center construction.
• Able to deliver findings to developers professionally and on deadlines.
• Strong written communication; findings usable by readers not in the review.
• AACE PSP or PMI-SP certification is a plus, not required.
• Proficient with MS Suite and Google Workspace and scheduling tools

Responsibilities

• Schedule review: Assess developer construction schedules for logic, critical path, float credibility, and sequencing.
• Review equipment orders, resource loading, and whether labor and materials are firm commitments.
• State clearly what is confirmed, estimated, or claimed by developers.
• Identify risks in long lead equipment, permitting, and utility connections.
• Track schedule movement across reviews and flag variances and causes.
• Assess recovery options and which are realistic versus cosmetic.
• Ensure clear handover of schedule to onsite construction teams.
• Define the standard for complete, defensible schedule reviews and maintain templates.
• Review team findings before client delivery to catch gaps and ensure robustness.
• Build and maintain a library of schedule benchmarks for durations and testing windows.
• Drive process improvements by refining templates, tools, and checklists.
