Job summary

Amazon is seeking a strategic, self-motivated real estate professional to source, negotiate and execute large-scale data center real estate deals in the U.S. You will work with landowners, developers, PE firms, and attorneys to secure entitlements and develop data center projects in Herndon, VA and other locations.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Design Engineering, Policy, Construction and Capacity Planning, plus travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• 7+ years professional or military experience.
• 5+ years advising and influencing executive leadership.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and release schedules.
• Experience interpreting data to make business recommendations.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements with legal terminology understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal sourcing, engagement, negotiation and execution of real estate deals.
• Coordinate with Legal, Design Engineering, Economic Development, Public Policy, Construction and Capacity Planning.
• Lead entitlement process and jurisdictional engagement for transactions.
• Develop site plans aligned with market conditions and investment assumptions.
• Collaborate to develop project schedule and budget, tracking costs.
• Lead teams of vendors, consultants, and contractors for acquisition and delivery.
• Contribute to AWS internal processes and reporting.
• Travel as required.
