Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple data center customer projects from order acknowledgement to equipment startup. You will coordinate with PMO, Operations, Sales, and external partners to ensure on-time delivery and exceptional customer service.

The role requires strong project management experience, with familiarity in construction, electrical and mechanical contracting a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior project management experience required.
• Construction project management is a plus.
• Prior power distribution equipment experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, including conducting effective meetings and presentations.
• Must be able to work in a matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of construction, electrical and mechanical contracting is a plus.
• Critical infrastructure and data center expertise with UPS, thermal, battery and monitoring is a plus.
• Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes, data center infrastructure and commissioning processes is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MBA preferred
• PMP preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with the PMO to define methods and procedures and enforce best practices.
• Define project scope of work and tasks to deliver.
• Collaborate to develop project execution plans.
• Coordinate with orders, production, logistics, contractors, services, warranty groups.
• Follow reporting and tracking processes to stay on target for quality, schedule, and cost.
• Track project reporting and KPIs.
• Document meeting notes and follow through to completion.
• Ensure service and delivery execution meeting contract requirements and customer expectations.
• Identify project risks and mitigation plans.
• Monitor team schedules on a critical path.
• Coordinate team for short/long-term resolutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure execution.
