Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Technical Project Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate delivery projects—primarily in data center physical infrastructure—for our Greenville, SC location. You will serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring projects meet time frames, scope, and profitability by applying standard project management practices.

This role reports to the Manager, Program Management and involves cross-functional collaboration across engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years' experience in engineering or product development.
• PMP Certification is a plus, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of project management standards and practices.
• Proficient with MS Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs and other project management software.

Responsibilities

• Reviews project charter, business case, and requirements to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project scope, and allotment of available resources.
• Confers with appropriate engineering to outline work plans and coordinate duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for assignment of project personnel.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule.
• Reviews status reports and other documentation prepared by project personnel, customers, and other contractors and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares and presents project reports for management, customer, or others.
• Gathers and develops information for change requests.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Develops and improves project management processes and routines for use throughout the Company.
• Other duties as assigned
