Job summary

ABB in the United States seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead start-up and commissioning of electrical power systems for large-scale data centers. You will own the commissioning plan, coordinate with clients, EPCs, and contractors, and drive IST and handover from pre-functional checks to systems testing.

This remote role (10–20% travel) requires a proven track record delivering multi-million-dollar projects on time and safely, with preferred PMP/PE/CxA/CPQ certifications and strong

Qualifications

• 7+ years managing complex technical projects with 3+ years in start-up and commissioning of power or MEP systems.
• Direct experience in data centers or critical facilities and heavy industrial power distribution.
• Proficiency with EPMS/BMS and SCADA; strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end start-up and commissioning projects for electrical power systems in data centers.
• Develop and own commissioning plans including scope, schedule, budget, risk register and resources.
• Act as single point of contact for commissioning activities with customers, EPCs, OEMs and internal teams.
• Coordinate commissioning for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, busway, relays and metering; ensure IST and handover.
• Drive root-cause analysis, manage risks, and report KPIs and issues to leadership.
