Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Studies in Austin, TX to lead complex electrical projects from power distribution design through commissioning and arc flash analysis, mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with experience focused in facilities power systems.
• PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with facilities power systems design.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA70E, and local codes.
• Experience in short circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash, motor starting, and power quality studies.
• Experience using power system software such as SKM and ETAP, or similar, and AutoCAD drafting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and support customers.
• Ensure electrical analysis, troubleshooting, and studies meet IEEE and NFPA standards.
• Review and approve ongoing and completed engineering work with precision and quality.
• Make onsite visits to customer sites to gather information and review plans.
• Coordinate with sales for estimating and bidding of new projects; present proposals to clients.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers and architects.
