Jobot is seeking an Electrical Designer, Power Distribution in the Austin area. This on-site, full-time role focuses on power distribution design for data center, commercial, and industrial clients, with growth potential as the team expands.

You will use AutoCAD, support short-circuit studies, specify equipment, and revise drawings under senior engineers, with exposure to SKM/ETAP and NEC knowledge. A clear path to Senior Designer exists as the national firm expands in a fast-growing market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical design experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; exposure to SKM or ETAP a plus.
• Working knowledge of the NEC.
• Interest in data center and mission critical power work.

Responsabilités

• Produce one-line power distribution and grounding drawings in AutoCAD.
• Support short circuit, arc flash, coordination, and voltage drop studies in SKM and ETAP.
• Help size and specify switchgear, transformers, and protective devices.
• Assist with equipment specifications, calculations, and drawing revisions.
• Work closely with senior designers and engineers who will invest in your development.
