Job summary

Edged Data Centers is seeking a Data Center Site Operations Manager for the Aurora, Illinois campus. You will lead 24x7 data center operations, oversee electrical, mechanical and network systems, and drive uptime while coordinating with vendors and customers.

You will manage budgets, set maintenance programs, and champion safety, SOPs, and change control in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data center operations for critical infrastructure and 24x7 uptime.
• Strong leadership and vendor management skills.
• Budget planning and cost control across multi-year programs.
• Excellent communication and coordination with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute data center operations including maintenance and repair of critical equipment (electrical, mechanical, network) to achieve uptime and compliance with SLAs.
• Manage provisioning of services and reporting for customers.
• Supervise local engineering teams and ensure SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs are followed.
• Develop and audit local SOPs and maintenance standards.
• Oversee change management, including review/approval of procedures with onsite staff and contractors.
• Manage maintenance contracts and vendor qualifications to meet standards.
• Act as primary technical contact for customers and coordinate incident response and post-event remediation.
• Track operational metrics and budget performance for senior management.
• Support pre-sales with tours and review lease proposals; contribute to accreditation initiatives.
