Job summary

Edged Data Centers seeks a Data Center Site Operations Manager in the North American division. You will lead 24x7 critical infrastructure operations, oversee a skilled engineering team, and ensure uptime while coordinating with customers and vendors.

The role requires extensive leadership, budgeting and change-management experience. Based in Aurora, IL, you will apply best-practice SOPs, safety standards and proactive maintenance to optimize performance and reliability across the data center

Qualifications

• 10+ years managing engineering or technical staff.
• 5+ years project/program management.
• 5+ years engaging internal or external customers and resolving issues.
• 4+ years managing multi-year budgets.
• Experience commissioning, accepting and operating mission critical systems.
• Experience in colocation operations including power distribution and monitoring.
• Experience managing a change control environment.
• Certifications such as ITIL v2/3/4, CDCP, AOS are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center operations for critical infrastructure to ensure uptime and safety.
• Oversee provisioning, maintenance and service delivery to customers.
• supervise local engineering teams per SOPs and maintenance calendars.
• Develop and audit local SOPs, sequences of operations and maintenance standards.
• Manage change control processes for maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.
• Support pre-sales activities with tours and lease reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
