Job summary

Oracle Corporation seeks a datacenter operations leader to drive complex hardware support and change activities across sites. You will mentor teams, lead cross-functional outages, and advance standardized SOPs/MOPs while partnering with engineering for resilience and automation.

Responsibilities include lifecycle management of servers, network builds, and incident analysis, with a focus on SLA adherence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 2–6 years data center experience; 4 years for development preferred.
• Experience in a mission-critical operations environment.
• Understanding of data center design, including electrical and cooling.
• Rack, and stack equipment including commissioning of new racks.
• Structured cabling skills on fiber and copper.
• Fully competent in own area of expertise with contingency planning.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Able to climb a 9 ft ladder and stand for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lifecycle management for servers and components; sets standards for diagnosis, replacement, and validation without impacting workloads.
• Coaches teams on advanced power distribution practices and complex hardware interventions; ensures reliability, safety, and SLA objectives.
• Leads planning, risk assessment, and governance for large-scale network builds and migrations; validates architecture and connectivity.
• Owns escalation queue and triage; documents resolutions within SLAs and improves processes.
• Governs adherence to SOPs/MOPs and site rules; ensures security controls and compliance.
• Leads post-incident reviews and RCAs; partners with engineering to mitigate risks and improve observability.
