Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Data Operations Support Lead to oversee the CMM Data Modernization and Governance program. You will lead data pipelines, platforms, and governance processes, ensuring reliable operations and alignment with AO's analytics goals.

The role requires 10+ years in IT management, strong leadership, and experience with cloud data platforms, data quality, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT management experience delivering data governance, standards, and modernization.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• PMP certification and/or program management expertise.
• Experience leading big data cloud solutions, cybersecurity, data management, BI and analytics.
• Excellent customer-facing skills with experience briefing senior executive leadership.
• Experience with MDM platforms or enterprise data governance tooling.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory considerations.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management experience.
• Experience with data observability or monitoring platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contract liaison, ensuring execution aligns with strategic goals.
• Lead daily operations for CMM data platforms, pipelines, integrations, analytics environments.
• Establish and manage procedures for monitoring, incident response, problem management, and releases.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity, and pipeline health against SLAs; conduct root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate production support across cloud, data engineering, application, BI/analytics, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, escalation paths, and system documentation.
• Lead incident management for high-priority issues, coordinate escalations, and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor Data Operations personnel and drive continuous improvement of operating model.
• Provide leadership with analysis, research, and solution recommendations upon request.
