Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cluster Operations Leader to oversee data center clusters and colocation operations across the region. This senior role manages safety, security, availability, scaling, efficiency, and cost management.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Data Center Operations (DCO) and Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), applying deep engineering and compute-system knowledge to drive world-class operational performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in CS, engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of management experience in data center operations.
Experience in datacenter operations, facility engineering, or IT critical environments.
Proven ability to hire, develop and manage distributed technical teams.
Strong communication skills for complex analytical projects.

Responsibilities

Hire, manage, and develop the operations team across compute and engineering managers.
Achieve performance goals for safety, security, availability, and cost.
Plan and execute infrastructure operations for new data centers and expansions.
Maintain mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in data centers.
Manage colocation providers to meet SLAs.
Lead incident response and resolution for safety, security, availability.
Improve operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.
