Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Cluster Operations Leader to guide the Infrastructure Operations team across data centers and colocation environments. This senior role focuses on safety, availability, scaling, and cost management while applying deep engineering knowledge to complex challenges.

You will build high‑performing teams, drive global programs, and partner with software, hardware, network, and security experts to keep AWS cloud infrastructure running at world‑class standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of management experience in data center operations or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to hire and manage high-performing distributed technical teams.
• Experience delivering complex analytical projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, and develop the operations team, including compute and engineering operations managers, and their teams.
• Achieve organizational performance goals for safety, security, availability, scaling, efficiency, and cost.
• Plan and execute Infrastructure Operations for new Data Centers and Colocation expansions.
• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in Amazon Data Centers, including preventive and corrective maintenance and change management.
• Manage Colocation Data Centers service providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLAs.
• Lead safety, security, and availability incident response, management, and resolution.
• Improve operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools continuously.
