Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Technician II to join our infrastructure operations team. You will help drive stability and scalability of our next-generation networks and assist in automating capacity management across data center locations.

In this fast-paced role you will work with network engineers, vendors, and internal customers to support large-scale enterprise networks, troubleshoot device configurations, and implement best practices to keep our cloud running smoothly

Qualifications

1+ year of computer networking experience.
1+ year of Linux operating systems experience.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in computer networking.
Experience working with Linux operating systems.
Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

Build and manage first level router-aggregates and console networks for new rooms.
Support capacity scaling and network projects.
Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter-connectivity issues.
Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to remove project obstacles.
Move and lift equipment up to 50 lbs where required.
Participate in migration and rollout of new hardware.
