Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to support scaling of data center networks and capacity management. You will work with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot interconnectivity issues, and help implement hardware rollouts in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate with minimal supervision, participate in 24/7 environments, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine procedures and ensure reliable network performance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in computer networking
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
