Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Materials Technician to join our Secaucus, New Jersey data center lab operations, coordinating inventory control, material tracking, and logistics in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate receipt, storage, and movement of assets, while maintaining traceability and supporting multiple projects across labs and warehouses.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills for tracking assets and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day inventory management, material tracking, warehouse activities, and logistics operations within AMD's Secaucus data center lab environment.
• Receive, inspect, process, store, and track inbound and outbound materials, equipment, and assets.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, serial numbers, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform SAP transactions and maintain accurate inventory records to support material visibility and asset tracking.
• Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft tools to support inventory tracking, reporting, and operational workflows.
• Coordinate movement of materials between engineering, testing, failure analysis, rework, logistics, and operational teams.
• Conduct inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions when needed.
• Monitor material status and provide updates to key stakeholders across engineering and operations organizations.
• Support receiving, storage, shipping, and material movement activities across warehouse and laboratory environments.
• Partner with logistics providers and internal teams to support shipment planning, tracking, and material movements.
• Assist with equipment staging, deployments, relocations, returns, and asset recovery activities.
• Support expedited and high-priority material requests.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
