Job summary

AMD in Secaucus, NJ seeks an Engineering Lab Supervisor to lead multidisciplinary teams across five laboratories focused on environmental, thermal, mechanical, and EMI/EMC testing. You will oversee testing activities for CPUs, GPUs, and server technologies, ensuring safe, efficient operations and timely customer deliverables.

The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and mentor engineers while adapting to evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience leading engineering teams in a laboratory or hardware environment.
• Knowledge of server hardware, Linux environments, and testing workflows.
• Ability to coordinate projects across engineering, laboratory operations, warehousing, and site functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary team of engineers in specialized laboratory testing and activities.
• Oversee daily operations across multiple laboratories including thermal and environmental testing, shock and EMI/EMC testing.
• Coordinate server and rack-level testing activities, schedules, resources, and customer deliverables.
• Partner with laboratory, warehouse, operations and site managers to secure people, equipment, space and logistics for testing.
• Monitor active experiments, coordinate troubleshooting, triage, and root-cause analysis, and report to customers.
