Job summary
Pacific Life Insurance Company in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Platform Engineer – Data Center to join our Data Center Services team.
This on-site role focuses on day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of data center infrastructure across locations, ensuring reliability and performance. You will design, implement, and maintain data center environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in automation and infrastructure as code initiatives,
Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of working in Data Center Operations across multiple locations.
- Experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Grafana).
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and monitor data center environments.
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable IT infrastructure across regions.
- Deploy and manage Windows Server-based systems across data centers and cloud environments.
- Coordinate with facilities, security, and vendor partners to resolve incidents.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation, rack elevations, cable schedules, capacity tracking tools.
- Participate in automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives to improve efficiency.
