Job summary

Pacific Life seeks a Data Lead/Architect to guide IT architecture across data, applications, and technology, partnering with the Data Steward and Director to translate governance into scalable solutions. This role develops blueprints, leads integration efforts, and shapes the roadmap for data-centric initiatives across the enterprise.

You will define architecture standards, drive AI readiness, and ensure compliant, scalable designs while collaborating with security, governance, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive IT/data architecture experience.
• Proficiency with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools; SQL, databases, data lakes/warehouses, cloud platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake; Matillion and DBT a plus.
• Ability to identify innovative solutions across technologies.
• Excellent communication for collaborating with stakeholders.
• Commitment to staying current on emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop IT architecture to translate governance into scalable solutions.
• Assess compatibility and integration of products to maintain a firm-wide standard.
• Plan and modify technical specifications; define platform processes.
• Develop and implement architecture policies and blueprints.
• Design system interfaces and address design weaknesses.
• Research tech trends and build migration plans aligning with business needs.
• Prepare data assets for AI/ML readiness and scalable pipelines.
