Job summary

Pacific Life Insurance Company is seeking a Cloud Platforms Director to set the strategic direction for cloud platforms and infrastructure. You will lead global teams of engineers, partner with business leaders across regions, and drive scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Located in Charlotte, NC or Newport Beach, CA with relocation options. You will influence governance, automation, and cost-effective cloud operations while advancing Pacific Life’s enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cloud platform management or IT infrastructure
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• Experience communicating to executives and technical/business leaders
• Proven leadership of global infrastructure teams
• Knowledge of security frameworks and hybrid environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for cloud platform engineering
• Lead a global team of cloud platform engineers
• Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud platforms
• Collaborate with leadership to align compute strategies with business goals
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party services
• Oversee disaster recovery planning and incident management
• Monitor trends and drive automated, resilient infrastructure
